Moses’s Journey

Born in Bloomington, Indiana, and raised in Elgin, Illinois, Moses’s story is one of redemption, faith, and divine purpose. After reaching his lowest point—losing his home, his car, and his direction—he found salvation through baptism, scripture, and music, recording his first songs in the basement of a church on Chicago’s South Side.

Guided by the scripture,

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.” — Proverbs 4:7

Moses now seeks higher counsel, honors his elders, and dedicates his life to inspiring others through faith, mentorship, and music.

Testimony

📖 Habakkuk 2:3 —
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

There was a time when I could barely recognize myself.
A broken relationship, reckless decisions, and self-destructive habits brought me to my lowest point.
I was homeless — sleeping in a staircase — consumed by substances, anger, and regret.
I had hurt the people who loved me most, including my mother, and carried shame I thought I could never escape.
Even then, I tried to lean on my own understanding, blind to where it was leading me.

But God had been calling me long before I ever answered.

My father wanted to name me Moses; my mother chose William, after him. She won the birth certificate, but my father called me Moses anyway, and the name stayed with me. I carried both names my whole life — raised in the church, surrounded by scripture, yet resisting its call.

Until I could resist no longer.

At my lowest, with nothing left, I opened His Word. I read the first five books — the books of Moses — and something in me shifted. I didn’t yet understand it, but God was awakening me. I began walking to church alone, even when I had no stability, no money, and no plan. Step by step, God was drawing me back into His promise.

Though I had been baptized before, my moment of true surrender came years later during the lockdown of COVID-19.
One morning, heavy with frustration and humiliation, I fell to my knees and whispered the prayer that changed everything:

“Patience. More patience.”

From that day forward, I sought God with my whole heart.
I meditated on His Word, studied scripture, and committed to transformation.
I was no longer just surviving — I was being renewed.

The greatest shift in my life has been understanding this:
time with God is not optional — it is the very necessity of the soul.

Just as food nourishes the body, prayer, wisdom, and obedience nourish the spirit.
My focus moved from chasing what is fleeting to pursuing what is eternal — wisdom, mentorship, and a life of service.
I no longer carry the burdens of my past; I carry a vision rooted in peace, prosperity, and purpose.

If you take nothing else from my testimony, let it be this:

God is good.
He is forgiving.
He is transforming.

No matter how broken you feel, no matter how far you’ve fallen, He is calling you.
This is not just my testimony — this is an invitation.

Step into the promise.
Step into the vision of milk and honey.
Step into renewal.

Glory be to God
